15th Croatian Biological Congress
ClimAnts team members presented their research at the 15th Croatian Biological Congress with International Participation in Zagreb, which took place from 20th to 23rd of November 2025.

Marko had an oral presentation titled “Keeping cool: how thermal landscapes shape ant foraging” in which he revealed the temperatures ants encounter near their nests.

Lara showed the differences in thermal physiology of two harvester ants on her poster “Thermal plasticity of ants after long-term removal from natural habitats”, while Antonia presented her poster titled „Bioaccumulation of Heavy Metals and Physiological Responses of Urban and Rural Ants“, showcasing her research on whether urban ants accumulate higher levels of heavy metals and display stronger antioxidant responses than their rural counterparts.

Participating in the congress not only allowed Marko, Antonia, and Lara to present their own results but also to learn about diverse research topics from the field of biology. They look forward to more events such as this one.
